As we close the gates on 2024, I will not say I am not sorry to see it go. 2024 was a hard season for all farmers across the Okanagan Valley due the extreme cold we experienced in January taking a major toll on all of our crops. However, what we can be thankful for is that the crops that we did have were purchased quickly and we got to see our loyal customers again, thank you! We also got to meet so many new people and had time to take those not familiar with fruit farms on small tours through the orchard and share our story of how we started, why things are planted a certain way and of course show off our honey bees.
We had the chance to look at the farm and plan for 2025 where we will add 100 new peach and cherry trees as well as add 50 Haskap bushes in the new fenced area. We have to keep up with demand and we are so grateful for that. We want to take this time to again remind everyone the importance of farming both orchards and wineries to the Okanagan Valley. This is what it is known for and we are extremely lucky to have this in our back yard and continued support means we can move it forward for many years to come.
So have an amazing fall and winter season, we will see you in the Spring when the bees emerge and the blossoms are out. Cheers!
